If on reflection you find you have developed aches and pains for no reason. Find you get out of breath without exerting yourself. Or as I had struggled to get out of bed. Then potential it is time to work your health strategy.
If you started as I did, then you are probably going to be going about it the hard way, riding the roller coaster of losses and gain. Potentially causing more damage to your metabolism than good.
You see I thought I could just use the information I found on the internet and to read a few books to make it happen. It’s not rocket science, right?
Move more and eat less. Yet no matter how simple it may seem, without adherence, perseverance and consistency you won’t make any progress.
It cost me 5 years of frustration without progress and a further 18 months of hard work to get my metabolism working again. It was not easy.
So when people ask me how I managed it and where to start, the first thing I get them to work on is their mindset. Without a real concrete reason why they want to change and what they are doing it for, when other priorities come up, their health improvements slip away from them.
